EMDR in A Fishbowl
Seva House is excited to present: EMDR in a Fishbowl, a 2-hour workshop comprising of a live demonstration of Relational-Integrative EMDR (RI-EMDR) between a Therapist and volunteer.
What is RI-EMDR?
RI-EMDR is a powerful therapeutic approach that combines the proven effectiveness of attachment-informed EMDR with the depths of parts work, neuroscience, brain, mind and body connection and mindfulness-based practices. This has led to a compassionate, transpersonal, and spiritual approach honouring relational attachment and ruptures. By honouring these we can help clients heal from past wounds, improve current relationships, and build healthier attachments in the future.
Fishbowl Workshops:
This workshop is available online (via Zoom Platform) in the comfort of your own home with the opportunity for feedback and Q&A with facilitators and peers to follow. This exciting style of workshop was presented in the UK by Mark Brayne (who leads international workshops in attachment-informed EMDR) towards the end of 2021 which both Michele and Amy were lucky enough to have attended and continue to provide in Australia with their own way of working with Mark’s encouragement and support.
Workshops run from 5pm to 7pm AEST/AEDT with a volunteer to respectfully, be part of the process.
Both Michele and Amy alternate each workshop as the Therapist and online support – who will be commentating on what’s unfolding in the live demonstration and answering/noting down any questions in the chat that may come up during the live demonstration. The first half of the workshop is dedicated to the live demonstration with the remaining time of workshop allocated for discussion with the Volunteer and Therapist and any questions participants may have.
Cost:
The cost of these workshops are FREE. In the spirit of SEVA; both Michele and Amy strongly believe in giving back to the EMDR community and wish to continue to provide workshops at no cost, in the spirit of giving and supporting other EMDR Therapists.
